San Diego County Animal Services Officer Myers climbed down into a Spring Valley storm drain on Monday to rescue a small poodle trapped and unable to climb out. The officer tempted the dog with treats to come closer, and as the hungry pooch got approached, Officer Meyers scooped her up and handed her to another officer waiting at the street level.
The dog was brought to the Bonita Animal Shelter where she was bathed, fed, vaccinated and checked for a microchip. At her arrival, she was very skinny, very hungry and dirty, suggesting she may have been on her own for an extended period of time…
