Novant Health NHRMC ranked among North Carolina’s top hospitals

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) is among the state’s top hospitals, according to U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals list ranks hospitals nationwide based on patient outcomes and other quality measures to help patients stay informed about where they receive care.

The Novant NHRMC is number 12 on the 2026-27 North Carolina list, earning high ratings in the following areas:

  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
  • Aortic valve surgery
  • Hip and knee replacement
  • Pacemaker implantation
  • Lung cancer surgery
  • Prostate cancer surgery
  • Gynecological cancer surgery
  • Maternity care and ear
  • Nose and throat surgery
