MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — On Wednesday night, Aug. 12, two people were hit by a car while trying to cross the street near 84th St. and Kearney St. near the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.
The 64-year-old and 28-year-old were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.
Samantha Owens lives near 84th and says walking to and from the fair is getting dangerous and has been for years.
“This is a family event, it should be safe for you to cross the street,” Owens said. “With the traffic now it’s a lot busier here so people are not stopping when pedestrians are trying to cross.”…
