Seattle man accused of killing homeless men with ax has double-murder case dismissed

SEATTLE — A King County Superior Court judge dismissed two first-degree murder charges Thursday against a Seattle man accused of killing two men with an ax in separate attacks after finding him mentally incompetent to stand trial.

Judge Nelson Lee found Liam Harrison Kryger incompetent based on medical reports and dismissed the criminal case during a brief hearing Thursday. Lee also signed an order directing Kryger to undergo a civil commitment evaluation.
