Grand Island, Neb. — A Grand Island Police Department investigation into the alleged sex trafficking of a minor has resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old Tucson, Arizona man on 60 Hall County charges.
The investigation began in June 2025 and was led by GIPD Investigator Cayla Larkins. During the course of the investigation, Daniel Ray Contreras was identified as a suspect and investigators developed information that ultimately led to an arrest warrant being issued in Hall County. Contreras was recently located in Tucson and taken into custody with assistance from the Tucson Police Department’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit, U.S. Marshals and Homeland Security Investigations.
