HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A cat was rescued in a house fire early Thursday morning on Newport News Avenue, according to the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.
Hampton Public Safety Communications received multiple calls around 5 a.m. from citizens stating that a neighboring house in the 900 block of Newport News Avenue was on fire. Officials added citizens noted that smoke and flames were visible from the roof of the residence.
