KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – The Unified Government of Wyandotte County is proposing an upgrade to its 311 non-emergency reporting system, with the goal of routing resident concerns more efficiently and providing status updates on submitted requests.
The 311 system allows residents to report non-emergency issues such as potholes, missed trash pickup and code violations. Officials acknowledge that once a report is filed, residents often have no way of knowing whether it was received, routed or resolved.
The Unified Government’s current 311 platform has been in use since before 2016. Funding to replace it is included in the proposed 2027 budget, though the upgrade is not yet final…
