Gulf disturbance nears Texas on Friday. Here’s what weather changes to expect.

With high atmospheric pressure over the state, the past couple of days have brought some of the hottest temperatures of the year to San Antonio. On Wednesday, the Alamo City hit 100 degrees for just the second time this year, and much of the region topped out near 100 degrees again on Thursday.

On Friday, however, slight changes are expected to the weather, courtesy of a disturbance moving into the area from the Gulf of Mexico. This disturbance is extremely weak, but it still could bring a slight chance of rain to parts of South and Southeast Texas, as well as increasing cloudiness and slightly lower temperatures.
