CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Putting food on the table is not easy these days. The price of groceries has gone up 33% compared to 2019 pre-pandemic levels, but there are several churches in Charleston County that are continuing to help those who need it most.
The Lowcountry free food giveaway at Refuge Bibleway Church in Summerville starts handing out its boxes of food and fresh produce at 2:00 p.m. every Thursday and the food doesn’t last long.
