Weekend heavy rain could bring more flooding

**FLOOD WATCH: 12 p.m. Saturday through 8 a.m. Sunday**

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — It just doesn’t seem like the Miami Valley can get a break from Mother Nature. Expect more heavy rain along with a flooding potential over the weekend. And there’s even a threat for severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and night. The main threat will be damaging winds, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.

Some areas could see in excess of 2″ to 3″. With the ground already saturated and rivers running high, it won’t take much to cause another round of flooding. Also, any gusty or strong winds will more easily knock down trees and cause power outages due to the already-waterlogged soil…
