7 plead guilty in organized crime ring tied to nearly 500 Gwinnett County car break-ins

Seven members of an organized auto break-in ring have pleaded guilty to charges connected to nearly 500 vehicle break-ins across Gwinnett County.

According to the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, the crimes happened between Nov. 24, 2022, and March 28, 2024. Police noticed a pattern involving cargo vans being broken into at night and high-end painting equipment being stolen.

Investigators say the group broke into 492 vehicles, stealing guns, cash and other items. The group also stole several vehicles in Gwinnett County and used them to commit additional vehicle break-ins and thefts in neighboring counties…
