Celebrities hit the course for St. Jude at Chickasaw Country Club

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The seventh annual Danny Thomas Celebrity-Am teed off at Chickasaw Country Club, drawing actors, influencers, musicians and athletes to raise support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The event is an annual tradition tied to Memphis’ PGA Tour stop, in which celebrities from outside the world of golf participate alongside the tournament’s broader activities.

Celebrities speak on the St. Jude mission

“Saturday Night Live” comedian Alex Moffat said the event carried personal meaning.

“It’s an insanely big honor,” Moffat said. “My grandfather, Joe Nagle, who was a plumber in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn — the number one charity that he always supported his entire life, even when he had like no money, was St. Jude’s.”…
