Daryl Hill had just dropped his child off for class, a routine millions of parents do every school year. But on Tuesday morning, August 11, the 56-year-old Florida father never made it home.
Even more heartbreaking is that it was her daughter’s first day of school. After dropping off the 10-year-old at the school in Apopka, about 20 miles northwest of Orlando, he got on his bicycle and began riding home.
