Severe weather warning with threat of 60 mph winds extened for Tallahassee

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has extended a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Wakulla County and south central Leon County in the Big Bend until 8:15 p.m. A flood advisory was also issued until 9:15 p.m.

Meteorologists warn of winds as strong as 60 mph. Officials also warn of hail as large as 0.75 inches.

The NWS warns: “For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Tallahassee.”
