A laidback cocktail bar in Central Texas will have its last call for good at the end of the month. The Marlow Bar on Sixth Street in Austin announced on social media that it is planning to close it doors after three years of business.
The bar’s last day of service at 700 E. 6th St. will be Saturday, August 29. While the Marlow did not specify a reason for the closure in its Instagram post, the bar said it will be announcing a lineup of festivities and events leading up to its closing weekend to celebrate.
“We’re lining up rippers with our favorite groups, happy hours, and DJ parties before we call it quits (so keep your eye out for the hotness and let us know if you can bring the homies by for one last hang)!” the bar wrote in an Instagram caption. “Thanks so much to everyone that supported us these last 3 years!”…
