TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal health officials report that a Maryland-based company is recalling soup kits sold in stores nationwide due to possible listeria contamination.
Kettle Cuisine LLC is recalling some of its “Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit” products, according to a company announcement posted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company said the soup kit product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.
Walmart stores sold the recalled soup kit product from June 30, 2026, to July 7, 2026, in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

According to the notice, the recall started after the company’s routine testing came back with a presumptive positive result for listeria. People are urged not to eat the recalled soup kit product and to return it for a refund.
