RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Evacuation warnings have been lifted for Stead and the Spanish Springs area.
During a 3:00 p.m. fire briefing on Friday, fire officials say the evacuations were lifted.
They say the Stallion Fire has gained containment on the blaze’s east, with rain helping to cool down the fire’s edge. They say the south side of the fire remains inaccessible due to poor terrain.
Meanwhile, crews reported being in mop up mode for the Bug Fire, saying that the east flank of the fire should be contained soon. They say it should take another few days for the northern edge of the fire to be contained…
