Kalamazoo buys property near water treatment facility for $605K

KALAMAZOO, MI — The city of Kalamazoo purchased a commercial property at 1517 South Park St. as part of a larger plan to expand a water treatment facility.

The Kalamazoo City Commission approved the purchase at an Aug. 10 meeting for $605,000. Funds for the purchase are from the city’s 2026 water capital improvement budget.
