LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey is in Little Rock on Friday as part of the Arkansas Cinema Society’s annual Filmland event.
McConaughey is being honored with Variety’s Legend & Groundbreaker Award, which recognizes artists who have made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.

The actor is also scheduled to attend a screening of his upcoming film, “The Rivals of Amziah King,” and participate in a question-and-answer session with acclaimed director Jeff Nichols at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.
