U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested a Brazilian man wanted for murder in his home country at Westborough District Court on August 3.
Maycon Souto Dos Reis was taken into custody after his arraignment on charges related to a May 29 arrest in Southborough for allegedly driving without a license. That earlier stop put him on ICE’s radar, according to the agency.
Brazilian authorities convicted Dos Reis of murder and sentenced him to 14 years and three months in prison. They issued an arrest warrant for him on September 14, 2024. It is unclear whether he began serving the sentence and fled or left before it started. He had no known criminal record in the United States…
