Wanted man flees from police in Augusta, arrested in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A fugitive who fled from Augusta police on Friday was taken into custody in Wichita.

Christian Lee King was stopped by Augusta police in the 300 block of west 7th Street around 5 p.m. on Friday. After being told he was under arrest for a felony warrant in Riley County, he ran away into the neighborhood.

August police, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado police and the Kansas Highway Patrol searched the area by ground and air, but were unable to find him on Friday. A public press release was issued warning people to call 911 if they saw him since he “is wanted for a violent felony.”…
