MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — With students returning to school next week, the Myrtle Beach Police Department is reminding drivers to use extra caution around schools.
School is back in session Wednesday, Aug. 19, which police say will bring heavier traffic around schools during the morning and heavier afternoon commutes.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert for children crossing the road, and follow posted school zone speed limits. Police also recommended giving yourself a few extra minutes to reach your destination as traffic increases…
