HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Students along the Grand Strand got a boost ahead of the new school year during the Bucktown Riderz Car Club’s annual School Bash, an event organizers said they have held for many years but decided to expand this time around.
The event at the James R. Frazier Community Center included music, water ice, grilling and a video game truck —along with school supplies aimed at helping students start the year prepared.
“They encouraged us as we went back to school, sometimes it might just be a pack of paper and pencils, but they gave us something. So, you know as we move forward in life, we also want to be able to give back,” said Jamal Kinoaw, a member of the Bucktown Riders Car Club…
