Medina Lake continues to hold onto the gains it made during a dramatic summer rebound, with the Hill Country reservoir now sitting at nearly 30% full.
As of Friday, August 14, Medina Lake was 29.9% full, according to Water Data for Texas. The reservoir had a mean water level of 1,021.89 feet and held about 76,139 acre-feet of water.
The latest numbers mark a dramatic turnaround from earlier this summer. In July, various scattered storms helped boost water levels across Central Texas. Canyon Lake, Lake Corpus Christi and several lakes in the Austin-area also saw major boosts.
Just one month ago, on July 14, Medina Lake was only 9.3% full, with a mean water level of 991.78 feet and about 23,759 acre-feet of water in storage. That means the reservoir has gained more than 52,000 acre-feet of water and risen about 30 feet in just one month…
