ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Car enthusiasts gathered at the Sandia Tramway for the final Street Cars and Cable Cars show on Saturday. The Route 66 Centennial celebrations had guests at the base of the Tram for a car show featuring vintage, street, super, and collector cars of all types that drive the Mother Road.

“We have the longest stretch here in Albuquerque that is maintained and it is beautifully maintained and what’s been wonderful is seeing how many people come to Albuquerque specifically to experience the portion that we have here and so, as whole, I think Albuquerque has put a lot of work together to make this a great experience for visitors and locals,” said Jessica Fox, Director of Marketing, Sandia Peak Tram.
