22 domesticated rabbits on the mend after being dumped in Plant City

PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — Nearly two dozen rabbits are recovering under the care of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay after being rescued last week.

The Humane Society said the 22 domesticated rabbits were found abandoned in Plant City last Wednesday. They said that when the rabbits first arrived at their facility, they were in rough shape.

“[They had] a lot of dehydration; they were a little underweight, and they did have some issues. A lot of them had stains you could see by looking at them, where they were not in a particularly great condition, probably,” said Lisa Novorska, Director of Community Engagement for the Humane Society…
