After this morning’s wet weather, we wait for the arrival of heavier showers and thunderstorms as we head into the evening. Overnight lows will stay mild and humid with 70s being the primary feel-like temperatures as the storms move in.
Monday starts cloudy with that early shower possible, but skies gradually break toward partly sunny conditions by the afternoon. This will help temperatures climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s, with even more sunshine expected Tuesday.
By Tuesday, with the front well offshore, nicer weather will temporarily bring a break in the rain and thunderstorms, and make it feel nice to be outside for any length of time. The thermometer and humidity will drop enough so that it won’t feel so stifling; however, temperatures and the humidity will gradually increase again late in the week.
Our next chance for showers and storms arrives late in the week, as another disturbance and front approach the DMV. Some of the late week storms could linger into the beginning of next weekend, but there are signs of a pleasant cool down heading into the back half of the weekend and beyond into the following work week, with highs returning to the upper 70s and 80s.
