AutoZone to Fill Void Left by Gabe’s

A Maryland storefront is preparing to say “goodbye” to discount retail and “hello” to an automotive heavy-hitter. Gabe’s has announced its last day in Gaithersburg, and a neighboring AutoZone plans to move into the space, reports MoCo Show.

Gabe’s will be welcoming customers at 30 N. Frederick Avenue for the last time on Saturday, August 22. It’s not clear when, precisely, AutoZone will take over the Gaitherstowne Plaza storefront, however given the timeframe of Gabe’s closure, it seems likely the favorite of motorists won’t be ready until autumn at the earliest…
