OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Not surprisingly, another round of scattered storms are impacting the metro and south of I-80 this morning. These storms will continue until mid to late morning and are not expected to be severe. By the afternoon, the storms and clouds will dissipate allowing the sunshine to come out.
The cold front causing the storms will usher in cooler highs around 80° and less humid conditions.
Unfortunately, the latest models have now put in potential for spotty storms Monday afternoon. Monday will be partly sunny with a chance of spotty storms mainly in the afternoon hours. There’s a possibility a storm or two could be strong with damaging winds and hail possible. More storms are expected to form overnight into Tuesday morning.
Another round of scattered severe storms come in the afternoon into the evening hours on Tuesday. Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight (Level 2) risk for severe weather with damaging winds and hail being the main risks.
Tuesday is now a First Alert 6 Weather Day due to the decent chance of severe weather. You can find out more by clicking on the link!
More storms are possible everyday after Tuesday so you will need to keep your umbrella or rain jacket handy…
