Wyden’s health care tour goes virtual on Sunday; in-person in Medford on Monday

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will be in Southern Oregon for a portion of his “Reimagining Health Care for America” tour.

Wyden, D-Ore., is wrapping up four hearings, held between Aug. 11 and 17, in Eugene, Salem and Portland, with an in-person session Monday in Medford. The hearings, which local media will be permitted to attend, will gather testimony “from local patients, consumers of long-term care, family caregivers, nurses, doctors and pharmacists,” according to a release.

In addition to the four in-person hearings for reporters and invited guests, a Sunday, Aug. 16, virtual “open-to-all” hearing will give rural Oregonians a chance to weigh in. The session is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be streamed via YouTube at the following link, www.youtube.com/live/gsbNcsxoIZA…
