DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that injured one person Monday on the city’s southwest side.
Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 6000 block of Creston Avenue around 4:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting, according to Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for the DMPD. They located an adult male suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The injury is not life-threatening.
Reward offered for Des Moines man accused of shooting Muscatine officer
Sgt. Parizek said the victim is not being cooperative with police. No suspect information was available.
