BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — During a checkpoint and saturation patrol in the northwest Bakersfield area Friday night, a total of five vehicles were impounded.
Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department said the DUI and license checkpoint was in the 10700 block of Brimhall Road from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.

BPD said 463 vehicles were screened by officers at the checkpoint, three drivers were detained for further evaluation, one driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and one vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
During the saturation patrol, 40 traffic stops were conducted, two drivers were arrested for DUI, six drivers were cited for traffic violations and four vehicles were impounded, BPD said…
