Wisconsin K9 helps seize 30 grams of marijuana and 30 grams of cocaine

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – One man is now in custody following a traffic stop where a K9 in Wisconsin helped police find and seize cocaine, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.

According to a release from the Sun Prairie Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at 10:42 p.m. Friday night on USH 151 near the West Main Street exit.

During the traffic stop, officials say K9 Rush alerted to the vehicle, leading to a search that resulted in the seizure of about 30 grams of cocaine, marijuana, additional substances, and additional drug paraphernalia.

The driver was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on the following charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Probation Violation
