H-E-B Recall: 5 Jalapeño Foods Texas Shoppers Should Check

H-E-B has recalled a wide range of products containing jalapeños because of potential Salmonella contamination, giving shoppers another reason to check their refrigerators and recent grocery purchases.

The San Antonio based grocery chain announced the voluntary recall Aug. 14 after NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC recalled products containing jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors.

The jalapeños were linked to a supplier in Sinaloa, Mexico. The affected H-E-B products were distributed in Texas and Louisiana between July 3 and Aug. 5. H-E-B said the recalled products have been removed from store shelves and that products currently available in its stores are not affected.
