SPRINGFIELD, MO – Big changes are happening at the site of a shopping center on the city’s south side.
In recent weeks, demolition crews have torn down the former Gordmans store on S. Campbell in the South Oaks Center. The rubble has been hauled away. Earth-moving equipment and gravel piles have been brought in, and additional site work is currently taking place on the site. Story continues below image.
Earlier this year, Ozarks First reported that Crunch Fitness has plans to move into the location at 3303 S. Campbell.
Gordman’s had called the location home for several years until 2019. That’s when the store moved to the former Toys R’ Us on E. Battlefield. The large purple and white building at South Oaks had sat empty since then…
