WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW) – An mergency vehicle collided with a semitrailer early Monday on Interstate 135 in Wichita while attempting to stop a wrong-way driver, officials said.
The collision was reported at 3:27 a.m. Monday on I-135 south of 1st Street in Wichita.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2024 Dodge Durango emergency vehicle was southbound on I-135 with its lights and sirens activated when it started to make a U-turn to stop a wrong-way driver.
