Mom hears ‘blood-curdling screams’ coming from son after driver ‘barreled into’ him while he was riding push scooter, child was left ‘to die’ on the ‘burning asphalt’: Family

An Arizona pickup driver allegedly “barreled into” an 11-year-old boy who was crossing the street on his push scooter, leaving him “lying there on the burning asphalt screaming in pain,” his family and their friends say.

Ethan Turner has been on a ventilator in a Pinal County hospital after being struck by 46-year-old Gloenn Noordhof near Ethan’s home in San Tan Valley, according to his mom. She told local Fox affiliate KSAZ that the hit-and-run happened last week and Noordhof appeared to plow into Ethan “without pushing on his brakes.”

A GoFundMe launched for the family says, ”The driver fled the scene like a coward leaving Ethan lying there on the burning asphalt screaming in pain.”…
