KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two fatal incidents on Kalamazoo train tracks in June, just 12 days apart, put a spotlight on rail safety in West Michigan, and the toll that repeated crashes and close calls can take on train crews and the community.
A 52-year-old man was killed on the tracks by the train station downtown on June 10.
Less than two weeks later, on June 22, a bicyclist was killed on the tracks near Western Michigan University…
