Multi-phase construction project begins near San Diego International Airport

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Major construction improvements on roadways near the San Diego International Airport began on Monday, marking a step forward in plans to improve traffic operations around the airport.

The upgrades are expected to improve Grape and Palm Streets as well as Pacific Highway and is slated to continue through next fall.

According to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, Hazard Construction Engineering, LLC will serve as the project’s contractor.
