CLARK COUNTY, Wash. (KOIN) — Two recent Battle Ground High School graduates — both standout athletes with promising futures ahead of them — are now at the center of a tragedy that left one dead and the other facing a felony manslaughter charge after a summer party took a deadly turn.
New court documents reveal differing accounts of what happened in the moments before a single gunshot killed 18-year-old Trent Richardson early Saturday morning at Hockinson Meadows Community Park in Clark County.
Eighteen-year-old James Gill appeared in Clark County court Monday on a charge of second-degree manslaughter.
