Where to drop off storm debris: Oahu trash centers, landfill reopen

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – All city convenience centers, transfer stations, and Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill reopened Monday after being closed ahead of Lala.

The tropical cyclone passed the state as a hurricane then a tropical storm, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain across the islands.

The city provides nine public refuse drop-off locations: six convenience centers and three transfer stations around the island for residents to dispose of their household rubbish, including but not limited to furniture, bulky items, large metal appliances, and green waste…
