Detroit-style pizza has been having a moment well beyond Michigan, and now one of the country’s biggest pizza chains is getting in on it.
Domino’s announced it will launch a new personal-sized, Detroit-style pizza called the Domino nationwide on Aug. 31. The rectangular pizza is designed for one person and, fittingly, is shaped like one of the two tiles in the company’s domino logo.
But what exactly makes a pizza Detroit-style? And how closely does Domino’s new version stick to the Motor City original?
