LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A Detroit man is facing numerous felony charges related to accusations that he smuggled drugs into eight separate prisons across the state, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Tuesday.
John Calhoun, 36, was arraigned Monday, charged with conducting a criminal enterprise and delivery/manufacturing of a Schedule I drug between 50 and 449 grams, both 20-year felonies.
He was also charged with eight counts of delivery/manufacturing of a Schedule I drug under 50 grams, each a 7-year felony and eight counts of bringing contraband into prisons, each a 5-year felony. He was also charged as a habitual 4th offender…
