The trial of two suspects charged in what police said was a robbery-turned-homicide continued on Tuesday.
Physical evidence was presented to the jury, including the hoodie that the victim, Canyon McGarvey, was wearing the night he was shot in the head.
Witnesses take the stand in January 2025 homicide trial
Prosecution continued to call witnesses as they built their case against suspects Tra-Varius Ramsey and Khalil Pannell. Those witnesses included several detectives and a forensic DNA scientist.The first two detectives discussed items taken from the crime scene for evidence. Those items included a blood-stained hoodie, an unsigned check and almost $2,000 in cash police said they found in McGarvey’s wallet.
Detectives also said they found a Tim Hortons Timbit box that contained marijuana packaging in McGarvey’s car. In the trunk of the suspects’ car, they said they found shooting targets full of bullet holes…
