Two-time Campbell graduate has served the Fighting Camels for more than two decades, including four years as AD
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After nearly two decades of service to Campbell University, Hannah Bazemore has resigned from her role as director of athletics, accepting the role of senior deputy athletics director and senior woman administrator at Florida State.
“On behalf of the Campbell family, I want to thank Hannah Bazemore for her years of service and leadership,” said Campbell University President, Dr. William Downs. “We also wish her the very best as she ventures out into a new chapter and a new season in her professional journey. Campbell Athletics will move immediately to initiate the search for our next AD, and we look forward to building a culture of competitive excellence and expanding our reputation as a home for championship programs.”
“Campbell has been so much more than a university or a place I have worked; it has been home for more than two decades,” said Bazemore. “I came here as a student and was given opportunities that shaped me both personally and professionally, and I will always be grateful for the people who believed in me and allowed me to grow here. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my career to serve my alma mater and to lead Campbell Athletics. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and, more importantly, of the relationships and friendships that will stay with me long after I leave Buies Creek. Campbell will always be a very special place to me and my family, and I will always be proud to be a Fighting Camel. Roll Humps!”…
