SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — “We need your help.”
The words of Mayor Todd Gloria as some two dozen city leaders and emergency officials gathered in Balboa Park Tuesday to say the time is now, to prepare for what could be at the very least a strong El Niño, at most, one that is unprecedented in strength.
Gloria says the city has been clearing storm drains and flood channels in the most vulnerable neighborhoods well ahead of the “usual” rainy season. But he and everyone else at the press conference urged the public to do its part– not only protecting themselves, but helping the city…
