Oregon based T.P. Freight Lines abruptly notified its employees on August 4th that they were immediately suspending all operations and that employees were not to report to work until further notice. T.P. Freight also failed to make payroll on August 5th, amounting to at least two weeks of previously earned and now unpaid wages to its employees.
T.P. Freight has been in business in Oregon since 1922 and came under new ownership in June 2025. The purported owner of T.P. Freight is Mohamed Hegab. It is not clear if Hegab has any experience running a trucking company, and he is claimed to be faculty at the California State University – Northridge.
With terminals in Eugene, Medford, Portland, Tillamook and Warrenton, T.P. Freight trucks have been a familiar sight on Oregon highways. When employees in Warrenton reported to work on the morning of August 3rd, they were unable to enter the terminal as the landlord had changed the locks and placed a lien on the property.
