CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – For families with a child in the hospital, even stepping away for something to eat or drink can be difficult.
Now, some of those everyday needs are being brought directly to families at UVA Health Children’s through the return of the Ronald McDonald House Charlottesville Hospitality Cart.
The cart is stocked with complimentary drinks, snacks, coloring books, magazines and other comfort items. Volunteers push it through the hospital every Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m., bringing support directly to families who may not be able to leave their child’s bedside…
