Intoxicated man drives himself to Madera CHP office, officials say

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man drove himself to the CHP Madera Area office, and he was then arrested, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

A man drove himself to the CHP office near Airport Drive and Yeager Drive in Madera on Tuesday morning, according to CHP. Officials say they later discovered that he drove himself there while under the influence.

The man exited his vehicle and entered the lobby, officers say. CHP says they saw signs that the man was possibly intoxicated. Officers then conducted a DUI investigation that led to the man’s arrest, according to officials.
