Naperville Community School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204 high schools have been named among the top 50 high schools in the state, in a new listing by U.S. News & World Report.
D203, IPSD 204 standings statewide
675 schools were included in the report for best schools in Illinois.
The rankings for the Naperville-area schools were:
- No. 12 – Neuqua Valley High School (IPSD 204)
- No. 25 – Metea Valley High School (IPSD 204)
- No. 27 – Naperville Central High School (D203)
- No. 35 – Naperville North High School (D203)
- No. 42 – Waubonsie Valley High School (IPSD 204)
Northside College Preparatory High School topped the list, followed by Peyton College Preparatory High School and Lane Technical High School. All three are located in Chicago.
The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora came in at No. 4, the highest-ranked suburban school in the report.

As for national rankings, more than 27,000 schools were reviewed, while 18,000 were ranked. D203 and IPSD 204’s standings were:
- No. 295 – Neuqua Valley High School (IPSD 204)
- No. 558 – Metea Valley High School (IPSD 204)
- No. 618 – Naperville Central High School (D203)
- No. 730 – Naperville North High School (D203)
- No. 921 – Waubonsie Valley High School (IPSD 204)
